Cell Phones for Soldiers
We are now a drop-off location for "Cell Phones For Soldiers."
Cell Phones for Soldiers turns old cell phones into more than 12 million minutes of prepaid calling cards for U.S. troops stationed overseas.
All cell phones are sent to ReCellular, which pays Cell Phones for Soldiers for each donated phone – enough to provide an hour of talk time to soldiers abroad.
"Americans will replace an estimated 130 million cell phones this year," says Mike Newman, vice president of ReCellular, "with the majority of phones either discarded or stuffed in a drawer. Most people don’t realize that the small sacrifice of donating their unwanted phones can have a tremendous benefit for a worthy cause like Cell Phones for Soldiers."

Get Smart About Credit Day
The Get Smart About Credit program was initiated by the American Banker's Association (ABA) Education Foundation. The program helps bankers provide much-needed credit education to our communities. The highlight of the program is the annual Get Smart About Credit Day, held the third Thursday of October since 2003. Through this annual event, more than 315,000 young adults have learned real-life credit smarts from 7,660 volunteer bankers.
On GSAC Day, bankers visit classrooms around the country and bring credit education to life with interactive lessons on account management, credit reports, identity theft and more. Lessons are fueled by the knowledge and experience of bankers. Bankers understand how a positive payment history can help customers achieve their financial dreams. On the other hand, a poor credit report can close doors - to a mortgage, financing a personal business, even a new job. For more information, please visit ABA's website at www.aba.com.
